While at the LDStorymakers Con, I was able to briefly meet Brandon Sanderson. For those who don't know who Brandon Sanderson is, I implore you to check out his works. I started with the Mistborn Series and have been hooked on his books ever since.
I am also a big fan of the Writing Excuses podcast, which Brandon Sanderson helped found and is a major contributor. It's a great resource for any writer or aspiring author.
I sheepishly stood in line, without a book in hand, at his book signing table. When it was my turn I told him how much my wife and I enjoyed his books and that if I had known he was going to be there I would have brought some with me for him to sign.
"No problem," he said. "Would you like a signed bookplate?"
So here it is, my signed bookplate. Proof I met the man, the myth and the legend knows as Brandon Sanderson. It sits safely tucked in my tome of Words of Radiance.
C'mon people, personal space! It's a sacred thing.
